The most common publishing errors and recommendations for resolving them

1. Access token has expired

  • Error: Your access token has expired or has been invalidated
  • Solution: Log in to the desired Onlypult account → Click “Reconnect” → Reconnect the account → End the connection.


2. Page request limit exceeded

  • Error: Received Facebook error response of type OAuthException: (#32) Page request limited reached (code 32, subcode null)
  • Solution: Please wait — Facebook temporarily blocks publications when the limit is exceeded. The limit depends on the number of active users of the page.


3. Invalid URL format

  • Error: Received Facebook error response of type OAuthException: Invalid parameter (code 100, subcode 2061006)
  • Solution: Check that the URL you pasted is correct and try again.


4. Invalid content parameters

  • Error: Received Facebook error response of type OAuthException: Invalid parameter (code 100, subcode 1349125)
  • Solution: Check the text, image, and link - the content may be missing, too large, or in the wrong format.


5. Feature abuse (blocking)

  • Error: Facebook error: It looks like you were misusing this feature by going too fast. You’ve been blocked from using it. Learn more about blocks in the Help Center. (code 368, subcode 1390008)
  • Solution: The page is posting too frequently or spammy content. Avoid posting such content.


6. Content has been flagged as abusive

  • Error:: Your message couldn’t be sent because it includes content that other people on Facebook have reported as abusive. (code 368, subcode 1346003)
  • Solution: Remove the content that is in question - it has been flagged by users as violating the rules.


7. Too much data in the request

  • Error: Please reduce the amount of data you’re asking for, then retry your request (code 1, subcode null)
  • Solution: Simplify the post - remove mentions, images, or links.


8. Temporary unavailability of the Facebook API service

  • Error: Received Facebook error response of type OAuthException: An unexpected error has occurred. Please retry your request later. (code 2, subcode null)
  • Solution: Check if the post was posted. If not, try again later.


9. Temporary unavailability of the Facebook API service

  • Error: Received Facebook error response of type OAuthException: Service temporarily unavailable (code 2, subcode 1363047)
  • Solution: Server error. Check if the post was posted. If not, try again later.


10. Temporary unavailability of the Facebook API service

  • Error: Received Facebook error response of type OAuthException: Service temporarily unavailable (code 2, subcode 1609010)
  • Solution: The server is temporarily unavailable. Check if the post was posted. If not, try again later.


11. Unknown error

  • Error: An unknown error occurred
  • Solution: The reason is unknown. Try again later.


12. Permissions error (facebook.com link prohibited)

  • Error:Permissions error (code 200, subcode 1609008)
  • Solution: Facebook does not allow links to internal content (posts, videos, etc.).


13. Access Error: Identity Verification Required

  • Error: Error validating access token: The user is enrolled in a blocking, logged-in checkpoint (code 190, subcode 490)
  • Solution: Clear your cache/cookies, sign in to Facebook, and follow the instructions to restore access to your account.


14. Link Title Too Long

  • Error: (#100) name parameter cannot be longer than 255 bytes. (code 100, subcode null) ‘null - null’
  • Solution: Shorten the title - maximum 255 bytes.


15. Unknown Facebook Temporary Issue

  • Error: An unknown error occurred (code 1, subcode 99) ‘null - null’
  • Solution: Please wait and try again later.


16. Link violates Community Standards

  • Error: Your content couldn’t be shared, because this link goes against our Community Standards (code 368, subcode 1404102) ‘null - ‘
  • Solution: Remove the link and read Facebook’s Community Guidelines.


17. Page authorization required

  • Error: Received Facebook error response of type OAuthException: You’re restricted from acting as your Page until you complete Page Publishing Authorization. Switch back to your Primary Profile to complete authorization under - Settings - Account Settings - Identity Confirmation. Complete verification or you will be restricted indefinitely. (code 368, subcode 1404078) ‘null - ‘
  • Solution: Go to your personal profile, open this section of Facebook and follow all the steps. Also ask other page administrators to undergo a similar check.
