Google Business Publishing Errors

Below are some common errors when posting to Google Business and how to resolve them.

1. Problem with your Google My Business credentials

Error: There is a problem with your Google My Business credentials. Please reconnect your account.
Solution: Follow the link provided and click the “Connect with another Google account” button to refresh your token. Accept all permissions and, after your token is refreshed, try posting again.

2. Google My Business account is not verified

Error: The Google My Business account you are trying to post to is not verified.
Solution: Make sure your Business account is verified. To do this, go to Google Business Profile Manager. If publishing has been disabled for your location, you will need to contact Google to resolve this issue.

3. Location not managed by user

Error: Location not managed by your account. Check your Google My Business permissions.
Solution: Make sure you are listed as an Owner or Manager. Check your permissions in Google Business Profile Manager by going to Business > Business Profile Settings > People & Access.

4. Access Level Issue

Error: To post to this profile, make sure your Google My Business access level is set to Owner or Manager.
Solution: Confirm you have access as an Owner or Manager. Check your permissions in Google Business Profile Manager by going to Business > Business Profile Settings > People & Access.

5. Service is Temporarily Unavailable
